Mehdi Ballouchy, who recently coached the 2006 and 2007 WCFC boys teams, was named as assistant coach for NYCFC first team competing in the MLS.

Prior to joining WCFC, Mehdi played for Santa Clara and Creighton University, and then had a professional career in the MLS during which time he played for several clubs including NYCFC and the Red Bulls.

World Class FC Coaching Director Kazbek Tambi said, "Mehdi was a terrific pro player who transitioned excellently into coaching with our program. We are very happy that he was moved into coaching at the highest level and wish him much success in the MLS."
